| Description: | Ursulmas is an annual demonstration held in the Horse Arena at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds. It is put on by the Society for Creative Anachronism, Barony of Aquaterra, Kingdom of An Tir branch. There are booths of craft merchants, medieval handmade goods, demonstrations (including armored fighting, archery, dancing, music, fire-eaters, spinning and cloth making, armor making, metal smelting, food preparation and preservation) as well as medieval pageantry. | |

| Location: Once again, Ursulmas will be held at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe. The physical address is 14405 179th Ave SE Monroe, WA 98272 Merchants will be in the Arena. The building is heated; however, there will still be drafty areas and the floor is concrete, so come prepared. Set up For Merchants starts FRIDAY at 12 PM. Pack out will start no sooner than closing court on Sunday (Quiet start) and will be complete no later than 8:30 PM. When you are packing in and out, please turn off your vehicle. Check In: Park in front of the Arena, and proceed to gate before attempting to find the Merchant Steward or your space. We will check you in and help you locate your booth. We will direct you to the closest entryway to off load. Please do not block the entryways or parallel park when off loading. Pull in forward or back in. You may also pull into the arena via the large door opposite the main entrance to offload once you have checked in at Gate. Site Tokens to be Visibly Worn during the entire event. Opportunity to pull in to the building must close at 6:00 pm due to heating needs of the rest of the event participants. Times: The site will be open to Merchants starting at Noon on Friday. Site will be open to the populace starting at 3:00 pm on Friday. Site will close at 5:00 pm on Sunday. Public hours are 9:00 am- 6:00 pm on Saturday and 9:00 am-3:00 pm on Sunday. Please double check the times when you arrive on site, as they are subject to change. Note: Since this is a public demo event, Merchants are required to be open during the hours that we are open to the public. Gate Fee: Gate fee for one adult is included in your merchant fee and will need to be paid when you submit your application. For extra helpers, you must pay the appropriate additional Gate Fee per person, Weekend: Adults: ages 16 and up: $15. Please submit a copy of their SCA membership card for a $3.00 discount. Sleeping space: Merchants will be allowed to sleep in their booths. If you wish to sleep in the Sleeping Hall or bring an RV, please contact: reservations@baronyofaquaterra.org Baroness Arianne of Falconmoors (425) 778-2359 Please Note: We will have the watch on duty, but Merchants are still responsible for the security of their booths and wares. Food: The fairgrounds will be providing their own food vendors, so we will not be able to accept any other food vendors this year. You may also prepare your own food. Hot water will be available for filling your thermos or making hot beverages. See the Event Steward or Merchant Steward to take advantage of this service. The traditional merchant feast will be held at Saigon Kitchen. This event is being coordinated by Baron Little Bear. Cost will be $11 per person (payable at the time of the feast). If you wish to participate, please note here _____ # of people from your booth who will be attending. If undecided you can let us know on site and we will have His Excellency contact you on Saturday Morning. Pets: Pets will not be allowed on site. All Service Animals must have CURRENT veterinary certification of health and vaccinations. Setup: Due to fire regulations, there are to be no additional structures (tents, pavilions, etc) in the building. You may set up display walls of fire resistant materials under 9 feet in height. We wish to encourage a period market place look and feel, please do all you can to contribute to the ambiance; there will be 2 prizes for best medieval feel in a merchant space: one Event Steward Team choice and one Peoples Choice. Further details to come with registration confirmation packet. ***IMPORTANT, MUST READ SECTION*** One Adult Gate Fee per 10x10 booth space is incorporated into your merchant fee. Non Member Surcharge (NMS) applies, so if you are not a member when you arrive at Ursulmas the fee is an additional $3. You MUST mail your fees with your application, or note on paperwork that you have registered via ACCEPS (http://acceps.ansteorra.org/index.php) before mailing these forms. Include a Stamped Self Addressed Envelope (SASE) with your registration paperwork; you will receive a receipt after your check has cleared. SAVE THIS RECEIPT! This Receipt must be presented at Gate for you to receive your site token. If you lose your receipt, you will pay ALL fees again. If you bring additional booth staff, you must either pay for them at Gate or prepay for them by submitting their Fees at time of Registration*** (Additional Gate fees can also be paid Via ACCEPS) Booth Space: Each booth will be 10x10. Merchants will be limited to 4 booths total. Corner booths (one per request) will be first come, first served, by request only. Remember, the Merchant Fee for each 10 x10 includes Gate for 1 person. Hence, a 20 frontage has Gate for 2 people. Please mark space requests on the application pages. The price is in US Dollars. | ||
