| Description: | 2012 Founders' Days celebration will be June 23 Planning has begun for the 34th annual Founders Days celebration, set for June 23 in downtown Cashmere and at Riverside Park. This years event honors the Simpson family, one of Cashmeres Founding Families. New this year, the childrens events will be moved to downtown. The childrens events will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Wenatchee Valleys favorite clown, L-Bow the Clown, will be back to entertain families. Returning this year is the Doanes Valley Pharmacy ping-pong ball drop, a community event unique to Cashmere where 2,000 ping pong balls are dropped by helicopter onto Riverside Park. And the Grand Parade begins at 7 p.m. Joining the Grand Parade will be Cashmeres 2012 Royalty, Queen Ilana Graham, Princess Guadalupe Espinoza and Princess Jennifer Barajas. The ladies will be riding atop Cashmeres community float, At the Heart of It. | ||
