Festival Committee to Create own Non-Profit to House the Festival in Future

The 12th Annual Fresh Hop Ale Festival will take place in Downtown Yakima on Saturday, October 4th from 5:00 10:00 p.m. General Admission and VIP tickets will go on sale on Monday, May 12th on our website.

Were excited to continue the Fresh Hop Ale Festival experience and solidify the Yakima Valleys place as one of the premier hop growing regions in the world said Joe Nation, Co-Chair of the Fresh Hop Ale Festival Committee. While its been hard to see Allied Arts disband, were super appreciative to continue this festival so many people have come to call their favorite Yakima event.

For the 2014 edition of the festival, the Fresh Hop Ale Festival Committee will work with the City of Yakima, the Yakima Valley Museum and the Seasons Performance Hall to produce the event. For 2015 and beyond, the Fresh Hop Ale Festival Committee intends to create a non- profit organization to house the organization and create a mechanism to give the majority of the proceeds to Yakima based arts organizations while also providing a small portion to hops based organizations.

Its our goal to continue where Allied Arts left off by providing a festival that produces funding for the arts while also assisting a hop industry based non-profit as the hop industry has been critical to our success for years said Karl Vanevenhoven, Fresh Hop Ale Festival Committee volunteer. Its a strong foundation to grow the festival for the years to come.

The Fresh Hop Ale Festival has been named on of the top ten beer festivals in the country. The festival features Fresh Hop Ales from over 30 breweries, wine, food booths and music on a festival stage.

The Fresh Hop Ale Festival Committee intends to begin meeting this week to start the work on the 2014 festival.
