On the first Saturday and Sunday every August Drayton Harbor Days waterfront festival brings together family, friends, and the community for a celebration of Maritime fun. All events this year will take place at the Blaine Marina, 235 Marine Dr, just off 1-5, exit 276.

The Northwest Steam Society will have a selection of steamboats parked along the docks for viewing. There will be an array of boats on display including wooden, classic plastic, Further, this year there will be 30 steamboats on display at Gate ll visitors dock, below the Harbor Masters office Blaine Harbor Marina a model boat collection will be displayed in the Blaine Harbor Boating Center across from the Harbor Masters Office. Come early on Saturday to join in the 5k Run to the Border and then stop off at the Community Center to enjoy a pancake breakfast served 8-11 am. At the Blaine Harbor Boating Center, enjoy live music throughout the day, arts and crafts booths from 10-4 pm, and prize drawings including a chance to win tickets to the Birch Bay Waterslides. Kids will have a merry time with games, crafts, and a scavenger hunt! Blaine-Birch Bay Park and Recreation District is offering the opportunity for kids ages 7-12 to participate in Pirate Daze for a $10 registration, kids will take a high-sea adventure on the M.V. Plover, join in a treasure hunt, and listen to pirate stories and sea chantey songs, as well as make their own pirate costume. At 11 am, the judging of the pirate costume contest will give kids and adults dressed in their pirate best a chance to win a bounty of prizes!
