| Description: | From 47th Annual University District StreetFair Website: The U District StreetFair has been the kick-off event of Seattles summer festival season for over 45 years. Free and open to the public since 1970, the U District StreetFair, produced by The U District Partnership (Formerly called the U District Chamber of Commerce), attracts over 50,000 visitors over the two day event to browse the more than 300 artisan craft booths and sample foods from around the world at more than 50 food booths. Live music on three stages, a dance performance area and impromptu performances by a variety of street performers complete the festival experience.
