Description: The 2016, Memorial weekend, 23rd annual Brinnon ShrimpFest is a community-sponsored and community-benefit event celebrating Hood Canal Spotted Shrimp and other local seafood and fare. The festival is located on beautiful Hood Canal in Brinnon, WA just off State Hwy 101 at MP303. ShrimpFest also features artisans and crafts; live music, kid activities, mobile food and concession vendors highlighting menus to include shrimp, other seafoods and variety of foods; and a beer garden. Decorate and enter your belt sander in the popular and competitive Belt Sander races held at 11AM and 3PM (Sunday only). The tides are usually low enough during this weekend for easy harvest of clams and oysters on the public beaches near the festival (license required) and the weather is traditionally good during this holiday weekend. This is great family fun! Take home your Hood Canal Shrimp for sale! Sat 10-6, Sun 10-5. Parking is free. Honoring active Military and Veterans Free Entrance (w/ID). Kids under 12 Free with paying adult. $5.00 Gate fee per day. Free Parking
