| Description: | The Soroptimist Gala Garden Show, now in its 19th years, is a 2-day garden show with approximately 50 vendors. We also present the Master Gardener speaker series on both days. The featured presenter, sponsored by 7 Cedars Casino, is Andrew May, an ornamental horticulturist who dreams of having Clallam and Jefferson counties nationally recognized as "Flower Peninsula USA." He will be speaking at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 19, 2017. HIs topic will be: The Best Place to Garden in the World. Available will be light lunch fares; café open 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We will be raffling off a huge array of garden items and a separate raffle of the art of our featured artist. This year it is the work of Patrick Henry with his featured piece "A Ride Through Lavender." Funds raised at the show go back into the community in the form of awards and scholarships, as well as donations to local organizations whose mission aligns with that of Soroptimist. From Vancouver, B.C., Canada: Travel south on I-5 to Highway 20 West. Travel on Highway 20 over Deception Pass and through Oak Harbor. Travel approximately 10 miles entering Coupeville, signs will direct you to the Port Townsend/Keystone Ferry. After traveling across to Port Townsend on the ferry, follow signs to Highway 101 traveling to Sequim. Take the Sequim exit â head north to city center. Washington Street is the first traffic light.
