| Description: | From Art in the Pickle Barn Website: The Skagit Art Association is a non-profit organization, founded in 1956 to create, foster, and sustain interest in the arts, to further the understanding and appreciation of art in all its forms, and to sponsor displays, exhibits, and educational programs.
Each year, the association awards scholarship/s to students of Skagit Valley College
Members enjoy benefits like showing their art in local businesses and participating in association-sponsored shows. One of the most popular shows is "Art in a Pickle Barn", held each spring during the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival in Mount Vernon.
Membership fees of $30 for artists are now being accepted. We invite and encourage three dimensional artists to join our group. Also, a joint membership for an artist and his/her non-artist spouse is $35 a year.
