Community Harvest Festival

Our Annual Community Event and Fun-Raiser, happens every fall at the turning of the autumn solstice. We celebrate this special time of year with families and young children, alongside community friends and partners.

Our goal at this event is connection to the season, the inherent cycles of nature, delicious and local food, gently harvested by our farmer friends, our lovely animal friends both wild and not-so-wild, as well each other. We are a sensory-friendly event with an old-timey feel, and seek to provide a morning that all children can enjoy.

All proceed donations from our Harvest Festival go directly toward the development of our education and outreach efforts. This year, 2017-2018, will go to our Mobile Gear Library, so that all families can find the tools, clothes, and gear they need to get outside and explore nature with their children.

We suggest a $15/family donation or pay as you will every donation helps us to serve more children in our community. Our favorite activities include: Apple cider pressing, eco face-painting, smores around the fire pit, free organic soups, free harvest muffins and baked goods, caramel apples, forest play and nature-crafting, strolling musicians, farm animals for snuggling, storytelling in the meadow, and more!
