Annual Arts Festival, 2nd Saturday in August
The Purpose of Index Arts Group is to stimulate interest and awareness in all forms of art:

To coordinate the artistic activities in the Index area, including, but not limited to, painting, photography, pottery, sculpture, poetry, music, theatre, dance, architecture, crafts, and such other artistic or cultural activities of value to the people of Index and the surrounding areas.
To promote and provide an awareness of the arts and support to the arts community of the area in and around Index, Washington;
To promote the economic development of the area through the arts, arts instruction, education, display and sales, and forums for the general enjoyment of the arts including but not limited to providing a forum for the exchange of knowledge and information about all aspects of the arts;
